You will now be asked to choose between three installation options:
•
Minimum.
Installs only the Windows NT 4.0 operating system
and HP-specific drivers.
•
Maximum.
Installs Windows NT 4.0 and all HP-specific drivers,
utilities and licensed programs available on the HP ConfigTailor
CD-ROM. This is the default option.
•
Custom.
Installs Windows NT 4.0 and HP-specific drivers. In
addition, you can choose which HP-supplied utilities and licensed
applications to install from the CD-ROM.

At this point, you will be asked if you wish to save the local
installation options you have defined onto a floppy diskette to
facilitate the recovery of your operating environment in the event of
a system failure. It is strongly recommended that you do so.

Finally, installation will begin. You will be requested to insert the
Window NT 4.0 and Service Pack CD-ROMs during the installation
process.
Local Recovery, Reinstallation and Repair
In the event of a system loss (due to, for example, a hard drive failure,
or accidental file deletion), you can use your HP ConfigTailor CD-ROM
to reinstall or repair your operating environment.
WARNING
Personal data loss cannot be recovered using HP ConfigTailor.
Boot the PC workstation from the HP ConfigTailor CD-ROM by
following steps 1-3 of the Remote Installation procedure (page 43).
Continue as follows:

For HP ConfigTailor 1.0 select the Local Recover option. For HP
ConfigTailor 1.1, select the Local Reinstall/Repair option. Select
Next to continue.
NOTE
To select the option you wish, use the Tab and Enter keys and then Tab
to Next and press Enter to continue.
