Required tools
The following tools are required for installation:
•
Phillips screwdriver
•
Flathead screwdriver
•
1mm wrench
•
T-25 Torx driver
•
T-20 Torx driver
•
14mm socket wrench
Installing the sheet metal grommet
The sheet metal grommet protects the cables that run through the opening on the top of the rack.
To install the sheet metal grommet:
1.
From the rear of the rack, unscrew the two top plate nuts, and then remove the rack top.
2.
Discard the plate and nuts.
3.
Align and center each grommet to the rack frame edge, and then push the grommet onto the edge of
the sheet metal.
Installing the breaker panel brackets
There are three sets of breaker panel brackets:
•
Front mounting locking brackets—Installed on the front of the breaker panel
•
Rack support brackets—Installed on each side of the breaker panel
•
Slider rail brackets—Installed on each side of the rack
To install the breaker panel brackets:
1.
Using the M4 screws provided, install the front mounting locking brackets by attaching the two front
mounting locking brackets to the front of the breaker panel.
2.
Using the remaining screws, install the rack support brackets by attaching the two rack support
brackets to each side of the breaker panel.
3.
Install the slider rail brackets.
a.
Install the four cage nuts into the front mounting rails of the rack, two per side in the lower U
space allocated for the breaker panel.
b.
Install cage nuts into the top and bottom holes of that U.
c.
Place the slider rail brackets in the lower U space allocated for the breaker panel in the rack.
d.
Verify that the single threaded hole is positioned to the front of the rack. The two cage nuts are
for the front locking brackets on the front of the breaker panel.
e.
Using the M5 screws provided, secure the front hole of the slider rail bracket.
f.
Secure the rear of each slider rail bracket to the rear rack mounting rails.
