Upgrading the Firmware
This chapter describes how to upgrade the TV’s firmware using its media card reader.
1. Download the updated firmware image from the website.
2. Copy the downloaded image to the Compact Flash card. This must be the only file on the Compact Flash.
3. Insert the prepared Compact Flash card in the card reader slot on the front of the television.
4. Power off the television and unplug the power cord to disconnect the television from all power sources.
5. Plug the power cord in the power outlet.
6. Simultaneously, press and hold down the OK and Volume down buttons on the keypad on the front of the
television. Keep both buttons pressed until the power LED on the front of the television starts flashing,
alternating slow and fast.
7. Release the buttons to begin the firmware upgrade process. During the upgrade, the power LED will flash
alternately. Once the upgrade is complete, the power LED will quit flashing and stay illuminated.
8. To activate the new firmware once the upgrade is complete, unplug the power cord to disconnect the
television from all power sources.
9. Plug in the power cord and power on the television.
10. To confirm the firmware upgrade, access the
About
option from the
Setup
menu and confirm the revision
displayed matches the revision downloaded.
