NOTE:
The system board spare part kit includes replacement thermal material.
All system boards use the following part numbers:

Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the top cover (see
Top cover on page 26
).
NOTE:
When replacing the system board, be sure that the following components (as applicable) are
removed from the defective system board and installed on the replacement system board:

Remove the system board:
1.
Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
(1): Display cable
(2): Touch board cable
(3): USB/card reader board cable
(4): Battery cable
(5): Speaker cable
