Installing Additional Mass Storage Devices
The Compaq Professional Workstation 6000 and 8000 have vacant bays for
installing additional internal mass storage devices. SCSI devices such as tape drives
or hard drives can be installed in the two vacant removable media drive bays (bays
6 and 7). All models have a drive cage that will accept a maximum of four 1.6-inch
hard drives (bays 0 - 3), or six 1-inch hard drives (bays 0-5).
