Introduction

HP 70301A T rac king Generator op erates in a HP 71000 MMS Microw a v e Sp ectrum Analyzer
system.
Refer to the system data sheet for an y system c haracteristics or electrical sp ecications not
found in this c hapter.

T able items in italics iden tify a c haracteristic. Y ou should understand the distinction among
terms.
Sp ecications describ e w arranted p erformance o v er the temp erature range of 0 C to
+50 C after one hour of con tinuous op eration, unless otherwise noted.
Sp ecications apply after the system temp eratures ha v e stabilized and
self-calibration routines ha v e run. (The standard Hewlett-Pac k ard
op erating temp erature range is 0 C to +55 C; the HP 70301A is an
exception.)
Unless otherwise noted, corrected limits are given when a sp ecication
range is improv ed with error-correction routines. All sp ecications qualied
b y an output p o w er setting refer to the indicated setting.
Typical p erformance, where listed is not warr ante d , but indicates
p erformance that most units will meet.
Characteristics pro vide useful but non-w arranted functional and p erformance information
in the form of nominal v alues.
Nominal v alues indicate the exp ected but non-w arranted v alue of the denoted parameter.
