Server SNMP
The
Server SNMP
command enables or disables SNMP UDP port 161 SNMP processing. When you disable SNMP
processing, you can still enable and disable traps with the
Server SNMP Trap
command. See “Managing the SCS
using SNMP.”

ENABLE|DISABLE
Enables or disables SNMP processing
Default = Enable
Server SNMP Community
The
Server SNMP Community
command defines read, write, and trap SNMP community strings. Community
names are case-sensitive.
The default community names are “public.” If you enable SNMP, you are encouraged to change the community
values to prevent access to the MIB. See “Managing the SCS using SNMP.”

Parameter Description
READCOMM=<name>
1 to 64 alphanumeric characters read community name.
Default = Public
WRITECOMM=<name>
1 to 64 alphanumeric characters write community name.
Default = Public
TRAPCOMM=<name>
1 to 64 alphanumeric character trap community name. If you specify this parameter, the
name must be different from the read and write community names.

Server SNMP Manager command
The
Server SNMP Manager
command defines or deletes SNMP management entities. You can define up to four
management entities. If you delete all SNMP managers (or never add any), the SCS can be accessed using SNMP
from any IP address. See “Managing the SCS using SNMP.”
