Use in the field
¾
Perform the calibration for fertiliser or seed
metering, see chapter
Pneumatic system
and
operating instructions for the E-Manager.
¾
Observe the notes in the following chapters
for the necessary settings on the pneumatic
system and metering system.
¾
Activate the E-Manager. Follow the associ-
ated operating instructions for the settings on
the E-Manager.
Please note
Headland
¾
Do not reduce the fan speed too early and
too far.
Otherwise, fertiliser or seed would remain in
the hoses and clog them.
The hoses are not monitored by the E-Manager.
¾
After turning, put down the drill approx. 2-5 m
in front of the seedbed with appropriate fan
speed. The seed requires some time to flow
from the metering unit to the coulters.
Working speed
The working speed depends on the field condi
-
tions (soil type, harvest residues, etc.), seed,
seed quantity and other factors.
¾
Operate somewhat slower under difficult
conditions.

¾
Switch the control unit for the front power jack
to floating position.
¾
Raise the machine at the headland, before
cornering and on hillside locations to gener-
ate sufficient axle load on the front axle of
the tractor.
