Fill Level Plate
The fill level plate regulates the amount of seed
that fills into the meter housing. It has 9 stages
of adjustment.
Fill Level Plate
A too high filling level in the chamber impairs the
performance of the scraper and the grain pick-
up, a too low level, in contrast, will negatively
affect the grain pick-up. To adjust: slightly loosen
the screw, adjust the plate all the way to the lock
and retighten the screw.

Sunflower 2 – 2.5
Sugar Beet 2
Sorghum 2
Soybean 2 – 3
Cotton 2 – 2.5
Canola 1 – 1.5
Wheat 1.5
Correct Setting
Adjusting the Metering Unit
Before planting some adjustments must be
made to the metering unit, these may need to be
adapted again after planting a while.
Take your time setting the planter initially to learn
about how to set it for the best possible metering
unit performance.
Selection of Metering Disks
You must choose the most suitable metering
disk for the seed type being planted.
If several metering disks can
be used for a certain type of
crop, you should always start
by using the disk with the
smallest holes or slots.
After choosing the metering
disks one should check the
settings in the E-Manager. The
selection and setting must be
identical otherwise planting
faults cannot be ruled out.
Tables
The data in the tables are guide values.
Depending on the seed, working speed and
other factors, further changes may be necessary
for fine tuning.
This fine tuning can best be made with the test
program in the E-Manager. (See E-Manager
Manual)
Metering disks should be selected by using the
guides below. Selection of the correct seed disk
depends on seed type, shape and planting
population. In overlapping areas, test the disk
with the smaller holes/slots first.
