Row Unit
Any changes to settings made
to the row unit assembly, will
influence the placement of
seed or fertilizer, and will have
an effect on the quality of
seeding and crop emergence
and yield.
The placement of seed and fertilizer must be
checked when starting work, when making
adjustments & periodically while planting.
The individual row units of the Maestro are
bolted onto the toolbar frame. The assemblies
for seed and fertilizer placement and row
cleaners are mounted on the row unit.

Maintenance
The plastic parts on the row units must not be
sprayed with oil, rust remover or any similar
substances. These parts would become brittle
and break.
Metering Unit
The metering unit is the main part of each row
unit. The metering unit is electrically driven and
individually controlled by a computer in the
adapter housing.
All parts inside of the metering unit are precision
parts, treat these parts with great care and avoid
exerting any excess force upon them. Do not oil,
grease or spray these parts with corrosion
protection agents. The parts would become
stuck together and become porous.
Attention: When changing parts on the metering
unit, be sure to only tighten screws by hand,
power tools will cause the screws to strip. To
prevent stainless steel screws from seizing,
cover them with anti-seize.
Metering Unit
The motor must not be
removed from the housing half.
When assembling disassembled metering units,
you should always make sure that the housing
parts are easily fitted by hand and fastened with
the star knob. Tighten both star knobs only hand
tight!
