Probable Cause
Corrective Action
1. Defective lamp (5).
1. Use a Fluke 8010A digital
multimeter to check lamp (5)
filament for continuity.
2. Electrical contacts (90),
terminals (100 and 110), or
lampholder (105) corroded or
damaged.
2. Remove and clean or replace
parts.
Lamp (5, IPL Figure 1) does not
come on or not at full intensity.
3. Electrical wires damaged or
broken.
3. Use a Fluke 8010A digital
multimeter to check continuity.
If no continuity, replace broken
wires.
NOTE:
The continuity check is a measure of resistance. If the measured resistance is
megohms, there is a break in continuity (equipment is faulty). Replace as necessary.
