It selects pulse length. Theory of fish finder is same as echo in water. Length of
transmitted ultrasonic wave is called pulse length. Selection of pulse length (long,
medium or short) enables you to change vertical resolution.

S : It can not detect to deep but nice resolution
and low power consumption.
