Storing Your Vehicle
If you store your vehicle outdoors, you
should consider using a full-body cover.
If you won’t be riding for an extended
period, follow these guidelines:

Wash your vehicle and wax all painted
surfaces (except matte painted surfaces).
Coat chrome pieces with rust-inhibiting
oil.

Place your vehicle on its center stand and
position a block so that both tires are off
the ground.
Place your vehicle on a maintenance stand
and position a block so that both tires are
off the ground.
●
After rain, remove the body cover and
allow the vehicle to dry.
●
Remove the battery (

discharge. Charge the battery in a
shaded, well-ventilated area.

If you leave the battery in place,
disconnect the negative

terminal to
prevent discharge.
After removing your vehicle from storage,
inspect all maintenance items required by
the Maintenance Schedule.
