Use the compact spare tyre as a
temporary replacement only. Get
your regular tyre repaired or
replaced, and put it back on your
vehicle as soon as you can.
Follow these precautions:
Do not use more than one
compact spare tyre at the same
time.
Check the inflation pressure of the
compact spare tyre every time you
check the other tyres. It should be
inflated to:
Never exceed 80 km/h (50 mph).
Replace the tyre when you can see
the tread wear indicator bars. The
replacement should be the same size
and design tyre, mounted on the
same wheel. The spare tyre is not
designed to be mounted on a regular
wheel, and the spare wheel is not
designed for mounting a regular tyre.
Do not use your compact spare
tyre on another vehicle unless it is
the same make and model.
This tyre gives a harsher ride and
less traction on some road
surfaces. Use greater caution
while driving.
Do not mount snow chains on the
compact spare tyre.
The compact spare tyre is smaller
than the regular tyre. Your vehicle’s
ground clearance reduces when the
compact spare tyre is installed.
Driving over road debris or bumps
could possibly damage the underside
of your vehicle.
