SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR
1. Remove the engine cover (p. 79).
2. Looking through the translucent
strainer cup, check the fuel filter
for water accumulation and
clogging.
If necessary, replace the fuel filter
with a new one.
3. Before removing the fuel filter, to
prevent fuel leakage, place fuel
hose clips on the fuel hoses on each
side of the fuel filter.
4. Remove the fuel filter assembly
from the strainer bracket. If it is
difficult to remove the fuel filter
assembly by yourself, consult an
authorized Honda Marine dealer.
5. Disconnect the fuel hoses from the
fuel filter.
6. Remove the fuel filter from the
suspension strap.
