Master and Valet Keys
Your car is supplied with a master
key that fits the ignition and all locks,
and a valet key that fits the ignition
and doors, but not the glove box or
tailgate. The valet key is provided for
times when you must leave the key
with a parking attendant or repair
person, but still want to keep
valuables safely locked-up in the
glove box.
Write down the numbers stamped on all of the keys and keep the
information in your wallet or purse in case you ever need to have
duplicates made. All keys are double-edged so you can insert them
into the locks with either side up.
Using the Master and Valet Key
If a key is used to lock the driver's side
door, all doors and the tailgate will
lock, but the key will only unlock the
driver's door.
If a key is used in the front passenger
door, all doors and the tailgate will
lock and unlock.
Using the key in the tailgate will lock
and unlock the tailgate and all doors.
To open the tailgate, pull the handle, then lift up.
