Remove the driver’s dashboard side cover by
releasing the five retaining clips.

Remove the self-tapping screw. Pull down the
driver’s dashboard under cover to release the
nine retaining clips.
3.
Unplug the vehicle connector and release the
harness clip on the vehicle connector (if
equipped) from the driver’s dashboard under
cover to remove.

Wrap the shop towel around the shift knob.
5.
Open the lid. Gently pry up on the front of the
trim ring to release the four clips, and remove
the trim ring.
