Sewer backflush level
integrated
non-return valve
Lay the pressure line continuously rising (ideally first ver-
tically, then horizontally) in a loop above the level of the
backflow level of the public sewer.
This prevents sewage from being pushed back into the
lifting system‘s container through the pressure line, in the
event of an increase in the water level in the sewer, e.g.
due to heavy rain. Run the pressure line directly to the
next collecting runoff. Check all joints and connections
again for tightness.
A freezing of the pressure line must be prevented. It is
advisable to insulate the entire pressure line sufficiently.
According to DIN, all connected sanitation facilities must
be located in the same room as the system.
5.3. Electrics
Risk of electrocution!
Improper use of electricity can be fatal! All pumps
with free cable ends must be connected by a qual-
ified electrician.
A professional inspection prior to initial operation
must ensure that the required electrical protection
measures exist. Grounding, zeroing, isolating trans-
former, fault current or earth leakage circuit breaker
must comply with the regulations of the responsible
power station.
The voltage specified in the technical data must cor-
respond with the local power supply.
Ensure that the electrical plug connections are locat-
ed in a flood-proof area and are protected from mois-
ture. Power cords and plugs must be checked for
damage before use.
The end of the connector cable must not be sub-
merged in water, otherwise water can get into the
motor terminal compartment.
The electrical connection must be made in accordance
with the local regulations of the EVU or VDE. The supply
voltage and frequency are indicated on the nameplate of
the pump and the switching device.
The voltage tolerance must be between 6% to -10% of
the supply voltage. It is important to ensure that the data
provided on the nameplate corresponds with the existing
power supply. The lifting systems require no further mo-
tor protection. The device is connected to the mains via
the shockproof plug.
5.4. Initial operation
Never allow the pump to run dry for a prolonged period
of time (risk of overheating).
Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet; the lifting sys-
tem is now ready for use. The pump starts working as
soon as the water level has reached the starting level in
the collection container. Once the water level reaches the
stop level, the pump switches off.
