11.6.4 Reduction gear
The reduction gear connects the drive shaft
of the engine to the pump. It comes together
with the pump as a unit and is already filled
with the correct amount of oil. The first
change of oil is required after
50
operating
hours, every further oil change after
500
hours. To check or change the oil, bring the
system into horizontal position.
Checking the oil level:
Remove the checking screw (

) which is located at the front side at half hight.
Some oil must leak from the opening, otherwise refill.
Place back the checking screw and tighten it. Wipe the screw clean from oil.
Check the screw after the next use for leakage. If it leaks, tighten the screw or replace
the gasket.
Changing the oil:
Remove the filling screw (

) on the housing top first.
Place a suitable container underneath the gear housing for collecting the waste oil.
Remove the checking screw (
2
) at the side and the draining screw (
3
) at the bottom.
After the oil has completely drained out, place back the draining screw (
3
) and tighten
it. We recommend the replacement of the gasket.
Fill in slowly new transmission oil of type
SAE 85W 140
, until it leaks out of the
opening of the checking screw (
2
).
Place back the screws for checking (
2
) and filling (
1
) and tighten both.
Wipe all three screws clean from oil and let the MFU run for some time in STANDBY
mode. If any screw is leaking, tighten it or replace the gasket.

Engine oil is not suitable
! In cases of damage resulting from
improper oil types,
we can grant no warranty
.
ATTENTION
Waste oil must not flow into soil or sewer system. Collect it in
a suitable container and dispose o fit in an enviromentally
friendly way.
