Cleaning the filter and flushing
Thorough cleaning of the entire system
after every use
is crucial for smooth operation,
reliability and optimum lifespan of the MFU. Remove any dirt or chemical residues with clear
water; do not use any solvents. Clean the grating of the floating filter from foreign objects.
If foam was jetted or seawater pumped, the system must be thoroughly rinsed and cleaned
afterwards. When using suction hoses for external water supply, pay attention to cleanliness
and perfect fit of the couplings. Dirt and cracks at the seals lead to the intake of air and thus
to reduced suction power.
ATTENTION
After use of seawater:
Salt crystals of dried seawater damage the surface of
affected machine parts and hoses. Rinse all parts of MFU
and vehicle, especially the extension hoses thoroughly with
clean tap water.
