Further troubleshooting
10.1
Engine fault (Briggs & Stratton Vanguard)
In the event of overheating or low oil level, the engine
switches off automatically. In such case ensure sufficient
supply of fresh air or respectively refill engine oil.
Most further engine problems like poor starting, rough
idling, misfires, etc. are related to the fuel and ignition
system or the air intake with its filter.
Please refer to the engine manual to localize and
eliminate such a problem within the limits of your
possibilities. Otherwise, contact the nearest Briggs &
Stratton service center.
