To receive FM broadcasts better...

After tuning in the desired broadcast, adjust the length,
direction and angle of the rod antenna to obtain better
reception.
While the UR 18DSL is receiving an FM stereo
broadcast, it displays "         ".
If the FM stereo broadcast includes too much noise,
press the FM mode alarm button.
The sound mode is switched to monaural mode, and
the display of "         " goes off.
To switch back to stereo mode, press the FM mode
alarm mode again.

About the search function

The search function may be unable to tune in a desired broadcast due to the antenna orientation or for
environmental reasons. Even in such cases, you can tune in the desired broadcast by manually adjusting
the frequency on the UR 18DSL.

About the place of use

The UR 18DSL may not receive radio broadcasts well when placed in a vehicle or building. If inside a
building, the UR 18DSL can receive radio broadcasts better when placed near a window.
If the UR 18DSL is placed near equipment (e.g., electric appliance, fluorescent lamp, personal computer)
that produces electromagnetic noise, the sound produced by the UR 18DSL may include noise.
In such cases, move the UR 18DSL sufficiently away from the equipment so as to eliminate the noise.

High sound volume due to powerful speakers and bass reflex
structure

The UR18DSL uses high-output speakers and a bass reflex structure to produce a high volume of sound.

AUX input terminal to connect a mobile music player

The UR 18DSL enables the user to connect a mobile music player and listen to the user's favorite music
played by the player through the UR 18DSL in AUX mode.

Possible charging of mobile phones

The UR 18DSL enables the user to connect a mobile phone to the UR 18DSL and charge the mobile phone
in AUX mode

*1

. (Charging a mobile phone by using the UR 18DSL requires a commercially available USB

charging adapter.)

*1

The UR 18DSL is designed to be set into AUX mode when charging a mobile phone because its

charging-related components produce noise during charging.
