TROUBLESHOOTING
Other
I felt an electric shock when
I touched the refrigerator.
You might feel static shock when you touch the refrigerator, but this does not indicate
any problems in its functions or any safety issues.
There was a power outage.
Until power is restored, minimize the number of times you open the refrigerator doors
and do not store any items that are not already in the refrigerator. When power is
restored, check and, if necessary, reconfigure the control panel settings.
I won’t be using the refrigerator
for an extended period of time.
Remove all stored items from the refrigerator. Unplug the refrigerator, and then clean the
ice maker and the inside of the refrigerator. Leave all refrigerator compartments open for
about 2 to 3 days, so that each compartment dries thoroughly.
I want to defrost the refrigerator.
You do not need to defrost the refrigerator, because it has self-defrosting function.
Water from the thawed frost collects in a tray, where it then evaporates.
I want to move or transport my refrigerator.
Refer to the procedure “Moving or transporting the refrigerator” below.
The surfaces of the refrigerator (such
as the doors, the sides, or the top of
the refrigerator) seem slightly warped.
The slight warping of surfaces might occur when the refrigerator is manufactured.
Depending on lighting and other factors, the warping might be more conspicuous.
However, this is normal and does not indicate a problem in the refrigerator’ s function.
Some of the plastic parts appear
to have thin scratch lines.
Those lines are caused by the flow liquid resin when the plastic part was molded. They
might be particularly conspicuous in transparent parts, but these lines not indicate a
problem in the strength of plastic parts and have not been known to lead to cracking.
The refrigerator is interfering with
the sound/display of my TV/radio.
This refrigerator emits electromagnetic radiation. Do not install the refrigerator near TV
sets, radios, or interphones. Plug the refrigerator into an outlet that is not in close
proximity to any antennas or wiring.
The glass surface of a refrigerator
door or a glass shelf is broken.
Do not touch the broken glass. Contact your vendor as soon as possible to request
repair.
A fly or other insect enters
the refrigerator
Keep the environment clean. Consider using a fly repellent or fly traps to get rid of flies.
Are there many flies near the
refrigerator?
Cover all food with lids or plastic wrap, so that flies are not attracted by the odor.
Does the refrigerator contain food
with strong odors?
Keep the refrigerator doors closed as much as possible.
Were refrigerator doors left open
for an extended period of time?
When I close one refrigerator door,
another opens.
Do not close doors forcefully.
The various compartments are interconnected by airways for cold air. As such, if you
forcefully close one refrigerator door, the air pressure might cause another door to open.
If I close a refrigerator door and
then try to open it immediately
afterward, the door feels heavy.
Do not leave the refrigerator doors open for an extended period of time.
If you do, air that enters the refrigerator will cool suddenly creating a temporary mass
of low-pressure air. To prevent this problem, do not leave doors open for an extended
period of time. Minimize the amount of time for which doors are open.
There are small holes on
the inside of the refrigerator
doors and on the inner sides of
the refrigerator compartment.
Holes on
the inner sides of
the refrigerator
compartment
Holes on
the inside of
the refrigerator
door
These holes are required for the manufacturing process. They are not defects in the refrigerator.
Note: Depending on the refrigerator model, these holes might be covered with
adhesive stickers. Do not remove these stickers.

I am concerned about the loud vibration noise, or
the discoloration or staining of the wall behind
the refrigerator caused by high humidity.
Ensure to leave
at least 2 cm
of space between the refrigerator and the wall behind it.
