9.8 Cleaning the instrument
Use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to clean the spectrometer on the outside. DO NOT
use any solvents!
No water may penetrate into the instrument!
9.9 Replacing the argon bottle(s)
When replacing the argon bottle(s), air might enter part of the argon supply segment.
There are two possible ways to then remove it from the system again:
• One possibility is to purge the argon system after replacement. For that, activate
purging via "Analysis", "Argon Flush". That method is quite time-consuming, since it
may take several hours until the supply lines have been purged sufficiently so as to
ensure the analysis is not affected any more.
• A more effective possibility is the use of purchasable fittings, with a purging device
on the delivery side. That is the safest method.
