Checking a Trunk
Verifying an
outside line
Your system administrator may ask you to check a specific
trunk (outside line) to verify that it is not locked up or out
of service.
Procedure
To verify a trunk, use the long trunk alarm/verification key
as follows:

Press <START> while your console is idle. The
display shows the normal dial monitor.

Press <LTA/VER> key. The normal dial monitor is
displayed.

Dial the desired trunk number. If the trunk is valid and
busy, you see this display:

Press <OVR> to listen for a conversation. (A warning
tone signals the interruption.)
