Option 1: Recover the server from a backup
If your server becomes corrupted, you can use
System Image Recovery
to
restore the entire HCP Anywhere edge appliance, including the data on the
edge device, to a point in time before it was corrupted.
To recover the HCP Anywhere edge appliance:
1.
Boot into system recovery mode
2.
Reimage the OS to a backup image
3.
Verify the edge device
Step 1: Boot into system recovery mode
To boot into system recovery mode:
1.
Power on the node and hold F8 on the keyboard.
2.
In the Boot Menu, select
Repair Your Computer
.
3.
In the
Choose an option
window, select
Troubleshoot
.
4.
In the
Advanced options
window, select
System Image Recovery
.
Step 2: Reimage the OS to a backup image
To reimage the OS to a backup image:
1.
Optionally, select
Select a system image
if you want to restore to an
earlier backup.
2.
In the
Re-image your computer wizard
, click
Next
.
3.
In the
Choose an additional restore options
page in the wizard, click
Next
.
4.
In the
Confirmation
page of the wizard, click
Finish
.
5.
In the popup menu, click
OK
.
