Software update

A software update can be carried out via the Ethernet interface (for headends with se-
veral BS8000 devices) as well as via the RS232 interface and a PPP connection (for

stand-alone BS8000 devices). If a software update is necessary, all the information

about the update will be enclosed in the upgrade package.

NOTE

You can download the software update with the update

information from the software update section on our service home-
page http://service.hirschmann.at. Look for the ordering number gi-
ven below. The update sectin is protected by password. To obtain
the present password please contact [email protected].
The password is changed monthly.

Storage

We recommend to store the QPSK-receiver in the original packaging.
Pay attention to the following requirements:
