18 Moldboard Problems
NO CONTROLLER POWER
Note:
The vehicle accessory power must be turned on to provide power to the controller.
Perform continuity check on 10 amp fuse on relay box.
DID THIS FIND PROBLEM?
No.
Yes, done.

Check for +12 between fuse socket and known vehicle ground.
WAS +12 FOUND AT FUSE?
No.
Yes.
|
Insert fuse and check for +12 between P2 - 3(controller) and known vehicle ground.
|
WAS +12 FOUND AT P2 - 3?
|
No.
Yes.
|
|
Check for +12 between P2 - 3 and P2- 4(ground).
|
|
NOTE: THIS CHECKS P2 - 4 FOR A GOOD GROUND.
|
|
DID P2 - 4 PROVIDE GROUND?
|
|
No.
Yes.
|
|
|
Power is getting to controller. Problem may be intermittent.
|
|
|
|
|
Check wiring between Accessory ground and P2 - 4 (controller).
|
|
Note:
Wire color changes from BLACK between Accessory ground & Relay Box,
|
|
to YELLOW between Relay Box & P2 - 4.
|
|
DID THIS FIND PROBLEM?

|
No.
Yes, done.

Check ORANGE wire between P2 - 3 and Fuse.
|

No.
Yes, done.

Locate the Accessory Power cable that connects to vehicle accessory power.
Note:
For older Accessory Power cables, GREEN = +12, BLACK = GND.
For newer Accessory Power cables, RED = +12, BLACK = GND.
Check for +12 between the points where the cable attaches to vehicle accessory power and ground.
WAS +12 FOUND AT VEHICLE ACCESSORY POWER CONNECTION?
No.
Yes.
