Potential Differences for Device Types NT 50-xx-RS
Device Destruction!
Make sure that for the NT 50-xx-RS device and the remote device (via
RS-232, RS-422 respectively RS-485) have the same potential. Other-
wise a compensating current may cause device damage, because the
serial interface of the NT 50 device has no galvanic isolation to its power
supply.
6.2 Start-up
Behavior
The firmware and the configuration data are loaded from the FLASH mem-
ory into the RAM of the NT 50 device after return of the power supply and
subsequently the firmware is started. This process can take several sec-
onds (appr. 4 seconds) depending on the size of the configuration data.
