FINDING THE AZIMUTH AND ELEVATION ANGLE FOR YOUR INSTALLATION LOCATION.
Visit the website
www.dishpointer.com
and enter the installation location address or latitude
and longitude.
1.
It’s really important to record the Azimuth and Elevation for your specific location, as you cannot
complete installing the BGAN terminal in the field without it.
5.
Now you have everything needed to complete the installation in the field. Except, maybe, a flask of coffee!
If we take Amsterdam in the Netherlands as an example, the correct satellite would be 24.8E.
ALPHASAT. When you searching using this example the information gives the following values:
Azimuth (true): 155.4°, Elevation: 27.3°.
4.
There are four Inmarsat satellites covering the globe. Fig. 03 shows you the areas that they cover
and the name of the satellite to choose.
2.
From the dropdown menu, choose the satellite which you identified in step 2 and click ‘Search’.
