Installing or reinstalling default Secure Boot keys
OS boot fails with security violation message at UEFI Shell
Symptom
The system console displays the
Command Error Status: Security Violation
message, and the
firmware does not load the OS. The progress log contains the
SECURE_BOOT_IMAGE_CHECK_FAILED
message.
Cause
Secure Boot is configured, but the OS does not support Secure Boot.
Action
1. Disable Secure Boot, or install an OS that supports Secure Boot.
The Superdome Flex Server default secure keys permit execution of images signed by the following certificates:

• SUSE Linux Enterprise Secure Boot CA

Symptom
On Superdome Flex servers running firmware version 3.0.512 on a Linux OS with Secure Boot enabled, an OS update may
fail while trying to update the Secure Boot keys. The error message includes the text:
