1. Introduction
1.1 Operation
The SelectH
2
mini is a multi-range gas detector
based on MOX gas sensors for hydrogen (H
2
).
The device detects H
2
concentrations from a
few ppm to the lower explosion limit (LEL).
The SelectH
2
mini gas detector described in
this manual is intended for use by qualified
and trained specialist staff in line with these
operating instructions.
These operating instructions will inform
users performing gas detection work about
the construction and function of the gas
detector, and is a guide for handling the
device and its components.
This device can be operated in the countries
of the European Union (EU). Outside the
EU, the national provisions of the respective
country apply.
These operating instructions describe the
state of the device at the time of publication.
Changes to the information and technical
configuration are reserved.
1.2 Conventions
Instructions that are carried out in a certain
sequence are summarised in action units.
Safety instructions are identified with
warning/notice symbols and a signal word.
If necessary, the hazard is described. The
warning and notice symbols are explained
in the section “Safety instructions”.
2. Safety instructions
For your own safety, please read this chapter
in full before starting, in order to ensure safe
and fault-free use of the gas detector.
Please observe and follow all safety
instructions listed in these operating
instructions, as well as all messages and
instructions issued by the device.
No claims for warranty or liability can be
made for damages that arise due to incorrect
operation of the device, or through use of
non-original spare parts, wearing parts or
consumables. Damage to wearing parts is
also not covered by the warranty.
