Measurement of the Fetal Heart Rate
1. Before starting a Measurement session
2.1 HeraBEAT
TM
US preparation
Turn the HeraBEAT
TM
US device ON by
giving it a little shake, or by unplugging
it from the power supply (fig. 4).
A White light will quickly turn on.
Note: The device will turn itself off
automatically after 2 minutes if not
used and disconnected from the App.
Important!
Before performing any
measurement, switch your
smartphone to Airplane Mode
(Airplane Mode ON).
The HeraBEAT
TM
US device
communicates with your smartphone
via Bluetooth Low Energy, therefore
please ensure that your smartphone’s
Bluetooth is turned
ON
(Bluetooth
ON).
Before begining a search, please
make sure you have available with
you: HeraBEAT
TM
US (fig. 1), your
smartphone (fig. 2), the supplied
ultrasound transmission gel tube
(fig. 3) and a clean paper tissue/
towel.
It is recommended that you find a
comfortable position before starting
any measurement session. Lean back
on a pillow in bed or on a couch.

Start the HeraBEAT
TM
App.
Wait for HeraBEAT TM US to connect.
The App will automatically create
a Bluetooth connection which will
be indicated on the screen. Once
connection with HeraBEAT TM US is
obtained, it will rapidly flash a white
light.
Please verify the device is turned ON,
otherwise turn it on by giving it a
little shake.
