HN5i Quick Start Guide

Gives access to more advanced features such as selecting Maps, creating routes,
tracks and adjusting system settings.
Object Menu button
The Object Menu button will display the menu options for the selected object.
This is similar to right click mouse functionality on a PC. The menu displayed will
change depending on the object selected ie. Track point, waypoint, route etc.
The same functionality is available by using the Tap-And-Hold technique. Tap and
hold the stylus down on a map object such as a waypoint or route until a ring of
red dots is displayed around the point of the stylus. Once the dots become
visible, release the stylus to reveal a menu with options applicable to the object
or point selected.
Data Box button
When the Data Box button is tapped, it will remain depressed. While the button is
depressed, tapping on a point on a map will display a box containing grid co-
ordinates and route/track information. This feature can be deactivated by tapping
the Data Box button again to release the button.
GPS Status button
The GPS status indicator will be displayed as a solid Icon in the absence of a GPS
fix. The icon will become semi-transparent once a GPS fix has been established.
Mark Place button
When the Mark Place icon is selected, a waypoint/mark can be plotted anywhere
on the map by selecting a position on the map. A red flag will appear at the
selected position signifying that a waypoint has been created. To place more
waypoints/marks, simply repeat the procedure.
Save & Close button
The Save and Close button is used to close the Memory Map application and
return to the main HEMA NAVIGATOR Menu. When the Memory-Map application
is activated again, it will load at the point that it was previously closed. Any
marks, tracks and route information will also be loaded.
Zoom In button
Use this button to zoom in to a map for more detail. When the maximum zoom
level has been reached for a map, the next tap of the Zoom In button will display
the next available map scale.
Zoom Out button
Use this button to zoom out from a map for less detail. When the maximum zoom
level has been reached for the map, the next tap of the Zoom Out button will display
the next available map scale.
