How to perform the update

The files required for the update are stored as compressed data in a Zip file for free download 
from. Once unpacked the files provide a so-called OS image which shall be copied to an empty 
CD-ROM into its root directory

Note: 

Do not add, modify or delete any files

Please follow the below-mentioned steps:

§

Download the Zip file "B45-03-070822.zip" to the HDD of your computer 

o

Unzip the file into an empty folder

Note

:  Do not use other decompression software than WinZip since it may cause errors

§

If not already available, create MP3 files in a total capacity of min. 45MB

Note

:  Due to the very small file size of the OS image, the MP3 files are required to keep

VRM 6200 DVD drive spinning.

§

Insert an empty CD-ROM to your PC's CD-ROM writer

§

Start your CD burning software. 

o

Create a folder "MP3" in the root directory of the CD-ROM

o

Copy the MP3 files into the folder "MP3"

o

Copy the OS image files into the root directory of the CD-ROM

o

Start burning

Note

:  Recommended writing speed = x8

Disc status = Close session

§

Power on VRM 6200 and insert the completed disc. The disc will now be read.

§

On appearance of the selection screen chose "MCU". The update process will start automatic.

 

Note

:  Do not turn off power!  The unit will perform an auto-restart after approx. 2min.

§

After re-start, remove and re-insert disc.

§

On appearance of the selection screen chose "MPEG". The update process will start automatic.

 

Note

:  Do not turn off power!  The unit will NOT perform an auto-restart

§

After approx. 3min. the "VDO Dayton" screen appears and stays. Now power-off VRM 6200.

§

Power on again and remove disc.

§

Power off again. The update is now finished!
