Valve matrix
With the exception of the buffer vessel (Woulff bottle), the valve matrix is delivered
completely preassembled. To assemble the buffer vessel (delivered in separate pack -
aging with two suitable knurled screws [1]), proceed as follows:
➜ Unscrew the buffer vessel from the bracket.
➜ Use the two knurled screws to screw the bracket of the buffer vessel into the
threaded holes on the left side of the valve matrix [2]. Photo [3] shows the correct
positioning.
➜ Screw the buffer vessel back into the bracket, photo [4]:
Thanks to its special design, the valve matrix has the inherent
stability required for safe operation. For this reason, after assembly
of the buffer vessel, the valve matrix is only pushed towards the
rotary evaporator so that the recess in the bottom [1] grips around
the foot of the rotary evaporator [2], see following figure. A direct
mechanical connection between the valve matrix and rotary evapo-
rator is not planned or required.
