• Install left top log as shown in Figure 14.6 using locating
pins to position log properly.
G. Place the Rockwool

Follow rockwool placement
instructions.
DO NOT
place rockwool directly over burner
ports. Replace rockwool material annually. Improperly
placed rockwool interferes with proper burner operation.
• Place 1/2 in. pieces of rockwool on the burner pan so
that rockwool touches but does not cover the holes in
the burner pan. See Figure 14.9.
• Place rockwool under the front logs as shown in
Figure 14.10.
• It is not necessary to use all the rockwool.
F. Place the Lava Rock & Vermiculite
• Place lava rock on top of the lava rock tray in front of
and under the burner. See Figure 14.7.
• Sprinkle vermiculite evenly over area covered by lava
rock. See Figure 14.8.
• It is not necessary to use entire bag of lava rock or
vermiculite.
