Finishing
NOTICE:
Surface temperatures around the appliance
will become warm while the appliance is in operation.
Ensure finishing materials used for all surfaces (floor,
walls, mantels, etc.) will withstand temperatures up to 190
°
F (88
°
C) .
A. Facing Material
• Metal front faces may be covered with non-combustible
materials only.
• Facing and/or finishing materials must not interfere
with air flow through louvers, operation of louvers or
decorative fronts, or access for service.
• Facing and/or finishing materials must never overhang
into the glass opening.
• Observe all clearances when applying combustible
materials.
• Confirm that appliance is plum, square and level. See
Section 6.
• Seal joints between the finished wall and appliance top
and sides using a 300 ºF (149 °C) minimum sealant.

WARNING! Risk of Fire! DO NOT
apply combustible
materials beyond the minimum clearances. Comply with
all minimum clearances to combustibles as specified in
this manual. Overlapping materials could ignite and will
interfere with proper operation of decorative fronts and
louvers.
