13. Information about the proper use of test sieves
The American Society for Testing and Materials has published an information about the sieve analysis
(test sieving) (STP-477).
W.S. Tyler Inc., Mentor / Ohio, describes test sieving in the Bulletin No.53. Whenever you need any
particular assistance in the right handling of the RO-TAP Test Sieve Shaker and test sieves, please
contact the TYLER department for laboratory equipment.
14. Maintenance
Warning! Before opening the machine pull out the mains plug.
The RO-TAP Test Sieve Shaker, Model B, requires only minimal periodic lubrication. The units
incorporate plastic- and oil-impregnated bronze bearing materials, which are self-lubricating. A few drops
of light oil is all that is necessary to prevent drying of the parts. Application of the same lubricants will
suffice if a squeak or a drag should develop in the mechanism.
15. Guarantee
All functions of the sieving machine are checked and adjusted before its delivery.
The machine guarantee is for 24 months .
Test sieves are excluded from guarantee!
We are only liable for defects resulting from flaws or faults in material. The guarantee does not apply to
damages caused by transport. Repairs resulting by improper handling or wear due to operation are excluded
from guarantee. The guarantee is void, if interventions such as variations or improper repairs are effected
which are outside our control.

A list of deliverable spare parts is attached. Original Tyler Spare Parts are supplied by
