TEA Button

................Press the TEA Button to toggle through

and select one of four different preset

tea modes. 

UP Button

..................Press  the  uP  button  to  increase  a

setting.

DOWN Button

............Press the DOWN button to decrease a

setting.

Brewing Coffee or Tea

use the following procedure to brew coffee or tea.

1. Rotate the cover locks to the unlocked position and remove

the top cover.

2. Remove  the  coffee/tea  basket,  spreader  cover,  and

pumping tube assembly from the tank.

Make sure a minimum of 2 liters (0.5 gallons) of water is in

unit before plugging in or operating. Operating unit with

less than 2 liters (0.5 gallons) of water will cause unit to

overheat.

Use only cool water when filling unit.

3. Fill the tank with cool water to the desired cup level. Cup

level markings are located on the front liquid level tube.

NOTE: The  unit  makes  2.3–7.0  liters  (13–40  servings)  of

brewed coffee or tea. DO NOT overfill or underfill the

unit. Fill according to the markings on the liquid level

tube  for  the  number  of  cups  desired.  One  serving

equals 0.24 l (five fluid ounces) of brewed coffee or tea.

4. Moisten the coffee/tea basket to keep small particles from

sifting through.

5. Add  the  desired  amount  of  ground  coffee  or  tea  to  the

coffe/tea basket (for coffee, refer to the “Coffee Brewing

Chart”). The amounts can be varied to suit taste.

6. Insert the top of pumping tube assembly up through the

bottom hole of the coffee/tea basket. Cover the coffee/tea

basket with the spreader cover. 

7. Hold the top end of the pumping tube assembly and place

the tube with the coffe/tea basket into the unit. Make sure

the bottom of the pumping tube assembly is positioned

properly in the center of the tank inside the percolation well.

use the following procedures to operate a FLOW

MAX

Coffee

and Tea Brewer.

Read  all  safety  messages  in  the  IMPORTANT  SAFETy

INFORMATION section before operating this equipment.

BURN hAzARD: 

• Some exterior surfces on unit will get hot. Use caution

when touching these areas.

• Make sure cover is securely in position before starting

brew cycle. hot water and escaping steam may cause

scalding injury during the brew cycle.

• Do  not  move  or  relocate  unit  when  it  contains  hot

liquids.  Turn  off  unit  and  allow  to  cool  completely

before moving or cleaning.

1. Clean the entire unit inside and out before using for the

first time. See the MAINTENANCE section for cleaning

instructions.

2. Read  the  “Control  Panel”  section  to  learn  about  the

controls.

3. Go  to  the  appropriate  procedure  in  this  section  for  the

desired hot beverage. For coffee or tea, see the “Brewing

Coffee or Tea” section. For hot water, see the “Heating

Water” section.

Control Panel

use the following section to learn about the functions of the

controls on the control panel.

hEATING Indicator

...The  HEATING indicator  (red)  is  on

during the brewing/heating cycle. The

HEATING indicator will turn off when

the brewing/heating cylce is complete.

READy Indicator

.......The READy indicator (green) will turn

on when the brewing/heating cycle is

complete and the unit is ready to serve.

The unit will hold the hot beverage at

the selected temperature.

TEMPERATURE

Display

.......................The  TEMPERATuRE display  shows

the current temperature of the unit. It

also shows the tempertature setpoint

and 

mode 

selections 

during

programming  as  well  as  error  codes

(see  the  MAINTENANCE  section  for

error code information).

POWER Button

.........Press the POWER Button to turn on

the  unit  and  start  a  brewing/heating

cycle. When the unit is on, press the

POWER button to turn off the unit.

BOIL Button

..............Press the BOIL Button to select water

heating mode. use the uP button and

DOWN button  to  set  the  desired

temperature within a range of 50–95°C 

(122–203°F).

COFFEE Button

........Press  the  COFFEE Button  to  toggle

through  and  select  one  of  three

different preset coffee modes.
