When setting the stove up on flammable flooring (e.g. wood, laminate,
carpet) a floorplate (e.g. safety glass, steel, stone) must be used (Fig. 6):

NOTE: DISTANCE TO NON-FLAMMABLE MATERIALS
To avoid obstructing air circulation around the stove we recommend a
clearance of at least 5 cm in front of and next to the stove.
NOTE: TEMPERATURE-SENSITIVE MATERIALS
Temperature-sensitive materials such as glass or plastic may require greater
clearances than the safety distances specified.
The safety distances specified also apply for highly-insulated components
with a thermal insulation resistance of R ≤ 8 m²K/W.
5.4 Installation safety notes
WARNING: CONNECTION OPENINGS FIRE HAZARD
The flue pipe discharges the exhaust gas from combustion from the firebox
to the chimney and becomes very hot during operation. The area around the
pipe and connection openings present a fire hazard:
► Remove all flammable or heat-sensitive building materials on
and around the connection openings of the flue pipe.
► Replace building materials with heat-resistant, non-flammable
materials.
► The flue pipe must be well sealed at the chimney inlet
and must not extend into the internal cross section of the
chimney.
►
Observe the relevant national regulations.
INFO: INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
The following conditions apply for installing and operating the fireplace stove:
►
In Germany, the stove must be reported to the competent,
authorised district master chimney sweep
for inspection prior to initial operation.
► Observe the country-specific and local regulations and
standards.
WARNING: ELECTRIC SHOCK
Connecting the controller under the stove to a 230 Volt mains socket can
result in electric shock due to contact with the stove:
►
Do not connect your stove to a 230 Volt mains socket under
the stove.
►
The connection under the stove must be a USB connection with
max. 5 Volt.
5.5 Flue pipe connection
The stove must be connected to a flue pipe with an inside diameter of 15 cm.
All pipe sections must be must be connected tight at the joints.
The flue pipe fitting must comply with DIN EN 1856-2. When using more than
one flue pipe elbow, a flue pipe elbow or a flue pipe with clean-out port is required.
Ensure the flue pipe is sealed well and does not extend into the internal cross
section of the chimney to prevent obstructing the flue (Fig. 7).

5.6 Indirect vent operation
INFO: INDIRECT VENT OPERATION
In indirect vent operation, the stove draws the combustion air directly from
the room.
► Ensure the installation area receives sufficient combustion air.
►
Ensure the installation area is adequately ventilated.
►
If additional combustion air inlets are required, these must not
be sealed.
►
When in doubt, consult your HASE authorised dealer or
your competent chimney sweep.
