3. INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
3.1. Prior to Installation
Prior to installing the heater, study the instructions
for installation, as well as checking the following
points:
The heater power should be suitable for the
sauna room volume. Table 1 shows the direc-
tive minimum and maximum volumes for each
heater output. A precondition for the given val-
ues is that the sauna room has well heatinsu-
lated walls and a ceiling with timber cladding.
Are there a sufficient number of high quality
sauna stones?
Is the supply voltage suitable for the heater?
The fuses and the connection cables conform
with valid regulations and their dimensions are
in accordance with table 1.
If the house is heated by electricity, does the
pilot circuit (contactor) require a supplementary
relay to make the pilot function potentialfree,
because voltage control is transmitted from the
heater when it is switched on?
The location of the heater fulfils the minimum
requirements concerning safety distances given
in fig. 6.
It is absolutely necessary to ensure that the instal-
lation is carried out according to these values. Ne-
glecting them can cause a risk of fire.
Note!
We do not recommend that the AV
heater be used in saunas having walls made
from solid timber, brick or stone. Cold surfaces
without cladding will “sweat” and leak water
when bathing. In addition, the slow warming
up of solid wall surfaces will prolong the time
needed to raise the sauna room temperature.
Only one electrical heater may be installed in
the sauna room.

3. INSTALLATIONSANLEITUNG
3.1. Vor der Montage
Bevor Sie den Saunaofen installieren, lesen Sie
die Montageanleitung und überprüfen Sie folgende
Dinge:
Die Leistung des Saunaofens muß auf das
Volumen der Saunakabine abgestimmt sein. In
Tabelle 1 sind die minimalen und maximalen
Volumenspezifikationen für die jeweiligen Sau-
naofenleistungen angegeben. Die Volumenwer-
te der Tabelle setzen gut wärmeisolierte Wand-
und Deckenflächen mit Holzpaneelen voraus.
Sind genug Saunaofensteine von guter Qualität
vorhanden?
Ist die Netzspannung für den Saunaofen geeig-
net?
Falls das Haus elektrisch beheizt wird, benötigt
der Steuerkreis (Kontaktor) der Heizung ein Zwi-
schenrelais, um die Steuerfunktion auf potential-
frei zu stellen, da vom Saunaofen bei Gebrauch
eine Spannungssteuerung übertragen wird.
Der Montageort des Ofens erfüllt die in Abb. 6
angegebenen Sicherheitsmindestabstände.
Diese Abstände müssen unbedingt eingehalten
werden, da ein Abweichen Brandgefahr verur-
sacht.
Achtung!
Wir empfehlen, den AV-Sauna-
ofen nicht in Saunen mit massiven Wänden
mit Block-, Ziegel- oder Steinoberflächen zu
verwenden. Nicht verkleidete kalte Flächen
“schwitzen” und lecken während des Sauna-
bads. Außerdem ist die Zeit, die zur Erhöhung
der Grundwärme der Sauna benötigt wird,
bedeutend länger, da sich die massiven Wand-
flächen nur langsam erwärmen.
In einer Sauna darf nur ein Saunaofen installiert
werden.
