Exit the Menu System
Exit from the user menu.
E-mail as text source
This menu gives you complete access to the email subsystem; as well as setting email as
your source text, it gives you access to download email and send messages. Auto-Lektor
will say "Email, Menu Active". Use F1 to step through the available choices, and F2 to
select a particular choice or activate a function.
Check for new messages
Run this command to check for new messages in your mailbox. If there are new
messages, they are downloaded to Auto-Lektor. Auto-Lektor will tell you when
downloading starts and finishes. You can interrupt message retrieval at any time with PA.
Delete selected message
Before using this menu item, you should have the message selected. Pressing F2 to
confirm this item will delete the selected message.
Answer selected message
Allows you to reply to the selected mail message.
Write new message
Allows you to create and send a new mail message.
Edit address book
Allows you to add, delete and edit your saved email addresses.
Enter e-mail configuration from external keyboard
This menu item lets you set up or re-configure your email account. It will ask you for your
POP3 mail server address, SMTP server address, email address, login and password. The
password is stored in Auto-Lektor in encrypted form, keeping it secure. For more detail on
how to set up email and an explanation of these terms, see the next section, Connecting
Auto-Lektor.
Create file name from the first 20 letters of the Buffer.
This option allows you to change the way a saved file is named. When this option is
selected, the file name will be created from the first twenty characters of the Buffer.
Enter file name from external keyboard
Selecting this option allows you to enter a file name using the external keyboard.
Enable or disable internet text sources
This feature makes it possible to change the list of available sources of text, allowing you
to exclude Internet sources. If there is no internet connection available, selecting this
option will shorten the list of text sources. Select this function again to restore the excluded
sources.
