Connecting Auto-Lektor
Your Auto-Lektor is an independent reader; it doesn't require connection to any other
device to scan, read or save. However, you can connect to your Auto-Lektor in many ways,
to bring text in from external sources or to save to external sources.
Using an External Keyboard
Auto-Lektor is able to take your commands from an external PC keyboard.
Make sure that you plug the keyboard into the PS/2 keyboard port or one of the 4 USB
ports on the right side of Auto-Lektor before switching on. If Auto-Lektor is already on, and
you wish to change to an external keyboard, switch off first and connect the keyboard, and
then switch on again.
All the functions of the built-in keyboard are available with an external keyboard, plus other
features not available through the built-in keyboard.
Primary keys on the External Keyboard
The four primary keys are Scan, Read, Pause and Clear Buffer. These keys on the
external keyboard are: Ins, C, Esc or Space, and O.
For Context Help, press F1.
