MediaPort Ethernet array
Use these ports only to connect to MediaPorts,
ChannelPorts, and Spectrum X devices. DO
NOT use these ports for any other purpose,
including plugging directly into a network.

Power supplies (0, 1 from
left to right)
Two power supplies, each including an
independent AC connector, are located on the
left-hand side of the rear panel. If one supply
fails, the load is transferred to the remaining
supply without interruption to service. To take
full advantage of the redundant supplies, use
separate, isolated power sources for each AC
input.

10 Gb Ethernet ports (1, 2
from left to right)
Use for file transfers or communication with a
public network.
IMPORTANT:
Use only a
CAT 6 Ethernet cable or better
for these network interfaces.
For lengths between 37m and
100m, or greater, use CAT 6a.

If installed, use these port for file transfers or

ports are installed, the onboard
10 Gb Ethernet ports (see 8)
are disabled.

Extended file system (EFS)
connections
Use these ports in two or three MediaDirector
EFS configurations. DO NOT use these ports
for any other purpose. License required.
