13.2.2 Aluminum base installation
WARNING!
The surface of the deck must be flat and robust enough to support the working loads of the
winch.
NOTE!
Before installation, the winch must be partially disassembled.
Follow the steps of the ‘Disassembly procedure’ illustrated in the ‘Maintenance’ chapter of this
manual up to the drum support removal.
Once the drum support is removed and the base of the winch is isolated, deck installation can
begin.
To install the Winch Air manual and powered, follow the steps of the procedure shown below.
13.2.3 Mounting templates
1. Place the drilling cut-out template over the point chosen for installation.
The template in DWG format 1:1 scaled for Winch Air is available on request from the Harken Italy
Tech Service at
Under-scaled mounting template for Winch Air versions is shown below.
NOTE!
The input shaft is 24mm eccentric shifted relative to the winch axis.
