Switching the appliance on
and off
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
If the cooling appliance has been trans-
ported horizontally, lubricant from the
compressor may get into the cooling
circuit.
■
Allow the appliance to stand upright
for approx. 2 hours after transport
and before connecting.
Switching on for the first time
The appliance is switched on as soon as the
mains plug is plugged in.
The compressor starts to work, the refrigerant
flows through the pipes and a quiet humming
sound can be heard.
A beep will sound and all indicators on the
control panel will light up for 3 seconds.
If the appliance is making unusual
noises, check that it is stable and re-
move any objects that may be on top
of it.
Switching on
• Press and hold the On/Off button (22) until
the control panel lights up (approx. 3 sec-
onds).
The indicator for the previously chosen
compartment (fridge/freezer) will appear
on the control panel (17), and the previ-
ously set temperature will also be shown
on the display (20).
Switching off
• Press and hold the On/Off button (22) for 3
sseconds. A beep will sound. The display
shows “OF”.
To switch the appliance off completely,
pull the mains plug out of the socket.
When the appliance is switched off,
leave the appliance doors open slightly to
prevent mould from forming.
Setting the temperature
CAUTION
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-
tures for extended periods of time. The
temperature may increase in the fridge
and freezer which may cause the foods
stored within to spoil more quickly.
■
Always ensure the prescribed ambi-
ent temperature is maintained (see
„Intended use“ on page EN-4).
If you set a lower temperature, you will
require greater refrigeration perfor-
mance. This increases energy con-
sumption.
