Cleaning the freezer
WARNING
Danger of explosion!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to deflagration or explosion.
■
Never use defrosting sprays. They can
generate explosive gases.
NOTICE
■
Do not use any means other than
those recommended by the manufac-
turer to speed up defrosting. For ex-
ample, do not use any electric heat-
ing equipment, knives or devices with
an open flame such as a candle. The
thermal insulation and the interior
are scratch and heat-sensitive and
can melt.
Preparation
To ensure the frozen goods have a cold re-
serve and do not defrost so quickly, set to
“Super cool” and “Super freeze” at least 3
hours before cleaning.
Keep the door to the fridge closed dur-
ing cleaning so that it does not warm
up in the fridge. Refrigerated food can with-
stand several hours in this way.
Should you need a longer time to clean, re-
move the refrigerated goods from the fridge.
Ensure that your food is kept cool enough.
Emptying the freezer
1. Press the ‘Ice On’ button (18) to switch off
the ice maker.
2. Disconnect the mains plug from the sock-
et or switch off the fuse.
3. Remove the frozen food from the freezer.
4. Wrap the frozen food thickly in newspaper
and store it in a cool room. To do this, you
can use the fridge of the appliance, for
example.
5. Remove the internal fixtures from the
freezer: Ice cube container (34), freezer
drawers (5) and (4).
