Place gusset on top of rafters with 1/4" (19 mm) offset
(Fig. A)

Fasten gusset to rafters with (12) 2" nails in pattern shown.
For (2) rafters install (1) gusset and set aside.

For (5) rafters, flip over assembled rafter and install a second gusset
