LEVEL
Th
is is for setting the volume of a virtual wheel.
Th
e setting range is -20 to +2dB. If you increase the value, it gets louder.
❻
CUT OFF FREQUENCY - LPF
Th
is is for setting the FREQUENCY to cut the TREBLE of a virtual wheel.
If you increase the value, a leakage noise is heard besides the original Tonewheel
pitch.
If you decrease the value, the sound gets sweet and mild, as the treble is cut off .
Th
e setting range is 0 - 127.
NOTE: If you decrease the value too low below the fundamental Tonewheel pitch, the wheel
volume will be reduced.
❼
RESONANCE - LPF
Th
is setting boosts or reduces the level of the Cut Off Frequency - LPF (#6).
Th
e setting range is 0 - 127. Th
e higher value boosts treble, and lower values cut
treble smoothly.
❽
CUT OFF FREQUENCY - HPF
Th
is is for setting the FREQUENCY to cut the BASS of this wheel.
If you decrease the value, a motor hum (= noise) is heard besides the original virtual
Tonewheel sound.
Th
e setting range is 0 - 127.
NOTE: If you increase the value too high above the original tonewheel pitch, the sound will
get “Thin”.
NOTE: The parameters 3 - 8 are the virtual Tonewheel Parameters. If you perform the record-
ing operation of the next page, it works in common with the same virtual Tonewheel
set of each Patch.
NOTE: When you operate the parameters 3 - 8, if you do not the perform recording opera-
tion on the next page, it is lost when you turn off the power.

LEAKAGE NOISE
In the vintage electro-mechanical Hammonds,
sometimes the signal from adjacent tonewheels
would be picked up (or “leaked”) along with the
current tonewheel in play. This “hash” noise, an-
other Hammond anomaly originally considered to
be a defect grew to be an integral part of the Ham-
mond sound.
“Mellow” does not include the Leakage Noise.
DISTORTION
If you raise the Level and Resonance values too
much, it changes the gain in the sound engine and
may sometimes cause distortion, i.e. unpleasant
noise.
In such a case, please lower these values.
